In the spring of 2009 I got a call from Julie Young, an Indianapolis author who was researching a book on Indy's eastside. As a lifelong resident of Indy's Eastside, she pays attention to places such as Al Green's and the Mirimar club, things omitted in most if not all the earlier nostalgia books. She joins Susan Hyatt's Anthropology class in writing the second book to be released on Indy's Eastside in 2009! When it rains it pours, apparently. We are lucky to have so many people hard at work preserving this part of Indy's heritage. We hope to have a review of Ms. Young's book soon.
